This specification defines the WIA-PET-007 standard for pet wearable devices, establishing requirements for data formats, algorithms, communication protocols, and system integration. The standard enables interoperability between devices, applications, and veterinary systems while ensuring accuracy, privacy, and pet wellbeing.

- **Validation**: Independent testing across multiple breeds and sizes

- **Factors**: Must incorporate weight, age, breed, activity intensity
- **Formulas**: Species-specific metabolic equations
